MIRROR PLATE CONSERVATION
If unprotected from moisture, traditionally manufactured mirrors are susceptible to oxidation , leading to the oxidization of the "silvered" amalgam.
At Temple Studios we have dealt with the many of the country’s most important mirrors, consolidating the amalgam and applying preventative treatment to inhibit the further deterioration of these vulnerable surfaces. We can also reduce the visual impact of delaminated silvering.
